A Baby Shower for Sage

Last weekend we had the honor of co-hosting a baby shower for two of our best friends and parents-to-be, Karissa and Mike. Together with friend and design diva, Rachel Anderson of Paperae, our backyard was transformed into the ultimate pink paradise! The color palette was grapefruit and sage with pops of apricot, which translated perfectly into the prettiest signature cocktails (and mocktails!). The shower was in the afternoon, so we had "American summertime" food which included bbq, mac and cheese, salads, and of course lots of pie (already a favorite of baby Sage!). We kept the day fairly casual with cornhole (for the guys) and onesie decorating (for the girls) and just enjoyed hanging out and chatting for a few hours. I think everyone had a blast and we made the mama-to-be tear up once or twice, so it was a success!

Grapefruit & Sage Sparklers:

3 oz. champagne
1 oz. grapefruit or orange juice (or 1/2 oz of both!)
Muddled sage leaves
Grapefruit slices for garnish

We also hosted a co-ed shower for some friends back in the fall, and I am such a fan of involving the new dads in the festivities. Plus, the look on their faces while opening gifts (nipple balm!!) is totally priceless.

Thanks Karissa and Mike for letting us be a part of your special day and to Rachel for making planning a perfect party so fun!
Invitations: watercolor by me, text and printing by Rachel Anderson
Photography and signage: by me
Flowers, decor, and "pie" signage also by Rachel Anderson (guys, she does this professionally... live in Southern California? You should hire her.)
We can't wait to meet you, baby Sage!
xoxo
